J. Christopher Mixon, M.D.

Christopher Mixon, M.D. is the Medical Director for the NeoGenomics Tennessee laboratory, practices as a surgical pathologist at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, where he also serves as medical director of the Blood Bank. Dr. Mixon received his medical degree from the University Of South Alabama College Of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama, where he developed his interest and skill in cytogenetics. He received his pathology residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has been active in cytogenetics throughout his entire medical career, and has a special interest in cancer cytogenetics. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
