Cytogenetic Technologist I
Performs routine culture, harvest and processing of bone marrow, peripheral blood and tissue biopsies. Performs microscopic analysis of metaphase spreads and image analysis (capture and cutting) of cells. Also prepares solutions and reagents, maintains laboratory records and performs general laboratory maintenance.
Flow Cytometry Technologist I
Performs routine antibody and morphological staining process of bone marrow, peripheral blood and tissue biopsies. Performs flow cytometry analysis of all samples for the department. Also prepares solutions and reagents, maintains laboratory records and performs general laboratory and instrument maintenance.
FISH Technologist I
Performs routine process of specimens for FISH analysis. Perform FISH microscopic analysis and image capture of cells to ensure timely completion of clinical cases. Also, prepares solutions and probes. Maintains laboratory records and performs general laboratory maintenance.
Laboratory Assistant
Performs all aspects of lab support. Prepares karyotypes. Maintains laboratory records and files. Performs various housekeeping and/or maintenance tasks. Monitors and stocks supplies. Performs sterilization of materials via the autoclave. Archives slides and cases from digital imaging system. Maintains Problem Specimen Information Records. Prints and files Flow Cytometry reports. Organizes laboratory data and generates graphs.
Cytogenetic/FISH Technologist, Fort Myers, FL
Reads/analyzes and does primary reporting of FISH cases for cancer specimens (BM, blood and tissues) for MDS, MM, CLL and NHL panels; all translocation probes, dual fusion, tricolor and break apart probes. Also reads and reports FISH Pathvysion cases from tissue specimens and FISH Urovysion from urine specimens.
Histology Technologist
Under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Histology Technologist will precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques and procedures. This position requires the production of the highest quality of embedding, microtomy, tissue grossing, tissue processing, and H&E staining, special staining and equipment maintenance.
